EYFS

School is temporarily closed for most pupils as part of a National Lockdown. This means that for lots of you, learning will be happening at home. At this time, the Reception team are here to provide fun and engaging ideas for learning that continues to link to our school topic for Spring - Enchanted Forest. We are also here to support you in any way that we can so please use Tapestry to ask questions and share uploads. Both myself and Miss Blythman are here for you and your child and are passionate about the education and wellbeing of the children in Reception.

We would like to share with you what home learning will look like for Reception going forward. Challenges and tasks will be uploaded to Tapestry daily. These will include explanations on what to do and advice on how to deliver this to your child. We will add videos, photos and examples wherever possible to help. Please feel free to comment or upload at anytime if you need further support. In addition to Tapestry you will also find a basic plan and some resources on the EYFS home learning of the school website.

Tapestry will be our main way of staying connected to you and the best way for us to send learning home so please do check it as often as you can.

You will receive Tapestry updates from one teacher at a time as the other will be supporting those who are still attending school. We want to emphasise that Reception is one big team so please engage with Tapestry and ask questions regardless of whether it is your normal class teacher that day. We are both here to help you. We will aim to send our daily Tapestry challenges around 9am each day.

We understand that you still have lots going on and appreciate that you may not be able to complete every task each day but we will be sending daily tasks for you to have a go at when you can. We would like to ask you to upload observations and share examples of the tasks your child has completed. This way we will be able to help and support and know what the little ones have been up to. Likes and comments will also let us know you've seen it.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and we do hope to see you all very soon.
