On Friday 27th May, Eastbrook Primary kicked off Jubilee celebrations nationwide, with a car park street party of epic proportions. Despite taking place on the last day of the half term and during the working day, over four hundred parents, grandparents and members of the community came to join us for a truly wonderful celebration marking 70 years of hereditary rule for Queen Elizabeth II. This meant that our first school event for more than two years was attended by a total of over 800 hundred people. It was a truly brilliant event and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved.
Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.
We hope everyone is having a wonderful Bank holiday weekend enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.
For £40 you will get 50x50cm square of full colour advertising space to promote your business on the front of our school for a minimum of 4 weeks.
Have a wonderful half-term everyone. We look forward to welcoming you back on the 6th of June 2022 for Summer term 2.
We cannot wait to welcome you all to our wonderful Platinum Jubilee Street party on Friday 27th May. Gates will open just before 12:30 and parents will be assigned special tables where you can share food and grab a seat.
Don’t forget to dress in red, white and blue or choose your favourite royal (past or present) to dress up as.
Parents and families are welcome to join children for their games and quiz, but please allow them to stay with their classes throughout the afternoon so that we can keep everyone safe. You will be asked to wear a sticker the whole time.
At the end of the event we will take all children back to class to collect bags and coats and will ask parents to go around the front to the gate to collect them as normal.
